I won’t let Israel return to the Promised Land

Exo. 5:3 “And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.”

Who do you think was behind why Pharaoh don’t want to let the Israelites go? That’s right – Satan. Through Pharaoh’s stubborn persecution and hatred of the Israelites, we see the working of the one who has repeatedly stood against God’s people and will again in the future. It is always the will of Satan for Israel to be bound. He doesn’t want them to be free and to return to the Promised Land.

Satan also did this through Herod’s persecution of Israel when Joseph and Mary had to escape with Jesus into Egypt (Matt 2:13-21); he did it through Hitler and the holocaust in a horrific attempt at thwarting the purposes of God; he has done it countless times in the last 2000 years to the Church. And once more today, he is still preventing the Jews to return to Israel so that they will not hear the message of the two prophets that will be sent to Israel one day. These he did through acts of wars in Israel today. In the near future, Satan will try with all his might and resources to finally wipe out the Jewish race. But it won’t succeed because God, like He has always done in the past, will intervene for His people. (Matt 24:15-22, Rev 12:13-17)
