THE BIBLE IN STARS

Our Lord God always works in three. Number 3 signifies His Divine Perfection. According to the Bible, in order for His Word to be establish as Truth, in order for Him to show us that He exists, there should be two or three witnesses to testify to it (2 Cor. 13:1). And indeed, He has given us three witnesses that testify about Him. They are the following:

1. The Bible in Books (John 5:39)
2. The Bible is Stones (Isa. 19:19-21)
3. The Bible in Stars (Psa. 19:1-4)

But the very first among these three is the Bible in Stars. Let’s tackle this witness.

Have you ever tried to look at the night sky and was feeling amazed by the magnificence and the beauty of the heavenly bodies? Have you seen how are they lined up clustered to form constellations so that we can see them as they are in our perspective here on Earth? Do you think it just happened randomly? Have you ever wondered how were the 3 wise men knew the exact birth of the Messiah and his location by just observing and following a star (Mat. 2:1–12)?

If you will just observe them closely, you can see that stars portray messages. In fact, the people of God in the ancient, can read them and hear their messages. As King David said in Psalm 19:1-4:

Therefore, join me as we delved into their message.

The Gospel Written in Heaven

Our Lord God designed the stars to tell the story of redemption, struggles and triumph over sin long before the Scripture was written. The stars were divinely placed to testify to us of His glory. From Genesis to Revelation, celestial bodies are portrayed as signs of God’s handiwork, His promises, and even His prophetic timeline.

These passages, among others, imply that the stars serve a higher purpose beyond mere illumination. They act as markers of divine events, guiding humanity in recognizing God’s presence and plans.

Stars are like the thermometer, they can tell us whether it’s hot or cold. But they cannot make the temperature hot or cold. They serve as markers of divine events, but they are not the one which makes those events to happen. Sadly, the enemies are doing otherwise. They are making it appear as though stars are the ones making our destiny. You can see these today in every day horoscopes, divinities, “divine” astrology and many more. They have perverted the message of the stars. They have perverted the Biblical message of the constellations especially the Zodiacs. And that’s why star reading is always associated with occultism. They deceive people by converting the message of the Zodiacs into horoscopes. But be not deceived. Stars are designed to convey the message of the Lord to us and to serve as our markers. Sadly, this Biblical message was corrupted by modern astrology today.

The Biblical Zodiacs

In Job 38:31-32, we have given some examples of the constellations. By the way, the Book of Job is the oldest book of the Bible. It is older than the book of Genesis. It is estimated to be written just after the flood of Noah. But we can already read the constellations here.

The Hebrew word “Mazzaroth” in that verse is translated as the Zodiacs—the twelve constellations that form the path of the sun through the sky. While astrology seeks to use the zodiac for personal predictions, biblical scholars like E.W. Bullinger and Joseph Seiss argue that the original purpose of these star groupings was to tell the story of salvation. And I agree with them.

The Twelve Zodiacs and their Gospel Message

The Gospel of the Zodiacs can be divided into three main events that will going to happen to the world: The Birth of the Redeemer, The Work of Redemption and The Return of the King. Let’s tackle them one by one:

1. The Birth of The Redeemer

We can read this event in the Constellation Virgo, Libra, Scorpio and Sagittarius:

Virgo (The Virgin) – represents the prophecy of a virgin that will going to give birth to the Savior (Isaiah 7:14). The brightest star Spica in the constellation Virgo means “seed,” which represents the child Who will be the Redeemer of Humanity because of the fall, aligning with Genesis 3:15 which foretells the coming of Christ as the “seed of the woman.” Under the Virgo cluster are the Virgo Decans – Coma, Centaurus and Bootes. Coma represents the coming of the Messiah, Centaurus represents His dual nature (being both God and man) and Bootes represents His role as the Shepherd.

Libra (The Scales) – actually symbolizes the need for atonement and judgment of humanity because of the fall. Someone must pay the price to redeem humanity (Romans 3:23-24).

Scorpio (The Scorpion) – represents the sting of sin that inflected all of humanity during the fall through the Serpent. The Messiah will crush the head of the Serpent but the serpent will inflect His heel Genesis 3:15. Antares in the Scorpio cluster means “the wounding,” reflecting the prophecy of Christ being wounded for humanity’s sins (Isaiah 53:5).

Sagittarius (The Archer) – represents of a victorious Redeemer. He will saved humanity and will crushed the enemy, aiming His arrow symbolized Christ’s triumph over sin and death.

This Birth of the Redeemer was also marked by the Star of Bethlehem (Matthew 2:1-2).

2. The Work of Redemption

This event can be read in the constellation Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces and Aries. This is further divided into three main events: The Death of Christ, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the Growth of the Church. They tell the blessing of Salvation and the story of the Church during the Grace Dispensation.

Capricorn (The Goat-Fish) – Represents Christ’ sacrifice and death and that He will not remain dead, He will resurrect. The goat was a common sacrificial animal, while the fish symbolizes new life, pointing to Christ’s death and resurrection.

Aquarius (The Water Bearer) – Represents the outpouring of the Holy Spirit after the resurrection of the Redeemer (Acts 2:1-4, John 7:38-39). Water means Life. This is the start that the redeemed will possess Eternal Life. This is the Grace Dispensation that will come to humanity. The star Fomalhaut which means “The mouth of the fish,” linked to the Church’s mission.

Pisces (The Fishes) – The fishes here represent the believers – the Church that grows after the outpouring of the Holy Spirit through the Fishers’ of Men (Disciples). This constellation speaks of the growth of the Church.

Aries (The Lamb) – Symbolizes Christ as the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29). The work of Redemption culminated at the constellation Aries, when the Lord says “It is finish.”

This Work of Redemption was also marked by cosmic disturbances like the darkening of heaven during Christ crucifixion and the moon turning into blood (Luke 23:44-45).

3. The Return of the King

This message is seen in the constellation Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, and Leo. These constellations focus on the return of Christ and His final victory.

Taurus (The Bull) – Represents the power and judgment of Christ that will come upon the world during His return (Revelation 19:11-16). He will no longer be a servant and a sacrificial Lamb but as a King of kings and the Lord of lords (Rev. 17:14). This is the Son of David Ministry. He will conquer the Earth as the true King.

Gemini (The Twins) – Symbolizes King and His Queen – the Bride. The King and the Queen will both sit on the throne and will deliver judgment upon the nations. The will both rule the Earth.

Cancer (The Crab) – Represents the security of the believers during Christ’s rule upon the Earth. He will be King unto them. These will happen during the 1000-year Messianic Reign of Christ after the Grace Dispensation.

Leo (The Lion) – The final victory of Christ, the Lion from the Tribe of Judah (Revelation 5:5), who destroys Satan and establishes His eternal reign. The star Regulus in the Leo constellation–represents the King Who is Christ. The Decans under Leo cluster which are Hydra, Crater and Corvus represent the defeat of Satan (Hydra), divine judgment (Crate), and the final destruction of evil (Corvus).

This final judgment as also foretold in Revelation 6:12-14 will also be accompanied by celestial signs that will precede Christ’s second coming (Matthew 24:29-30).

God’s Message in the Heavens

The Bible in Stars serves as a powerful reminder that God’s plan has been established since creation. Long before the Scriptures were written, the heavens have declared His glory, telling the story of Christ through celestial message.

Though astrology has corrupted the original meaning of the Zodiac, the Bible in Stars seeks to reclaim the stars as testimonies of God’s existence, majesty and redemption. As Psalm 147:4 says,

The heavens continue to proclaim their silent yet profound witness to those who have eyes to see and ears to hear them.

Conclusion

The Bible in Stars is a fascinating perspective that reinforces the idea of divine authorship over creation. From the constellations to the individual stars, every detail points to a grand narrative—one that speaks of salvation, judgment, and the ultimate triumph of Christ.

While modern astronomy may dismiss this perspective as mythological, the biblical record suggests otherwise: God’s truth is written across the sky, speaking to all of humanity. For those who seek wisdom in the stars, not as fortune-tellers, but as students of God’s revelation, the heavens indeed declare the glory of God and the story of His redeeming love.
