Rev. 15:3 “And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.”
In the book of Revelation15:3, we are shown a prophetic vision of two distinct songs being sung in heaven: the Song of Moses and the Song of the Lamb. These two songs, in turn, represent two different groups of people who will ultimately acknowledge God’s sovereignty: the Jews (representing Old Testament saints and those under the Law) and the foolish virgins (representing a group of believers who, though possessing some light, are not part of the raptured Bride). The Song of Moses primarily speaks of God’s mighty acts of deliverance and the historical victory experienced by the Israelites, particularly at the Red Sea. The Song of the Lamb, however, represents the ultimate, eternal salvation and redemption accomplished solely through the shed blood of our the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Jews, who historically sang the Song of Moses, will eventually come to the profound realization that their God, Yahweh, whom they have worshipped and served for generations according to the Law, is actually the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. Many in Christendom have debated and argued that all members of the mystical Body of Christ, all true believers, should be raptured. However, it is scripturally essential to recognize that there is a clear distinction made between the wise and foolish virgins in the parable of Matthew 25. Only those who are truly wise, filled with the oil of the Holy Spirit, will be taken to the glorious marriage supper of the Lamb, whereas the foolish virgins, lacking that essential preparedness, will be left behind to go through the Tribulation.
FEAR OF THE LORD
Revelation 15:4 asks a rhetorical question:
“Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.”
The Bible speaks frequently of the fear of the Lord, but this is not a cowering fear born out of dread or terror, as one might fear an impending physical threat or a tyrant. Instead, it is a deep, reverential fear, a profound awe and respect that leads true believers to place God’s perfect will far above their own desires and ambitions. It is a holy fear that stems from an intimate knowledge of His character, His power, His holiness, and His love. This reverential fear guides us to obey and honor Him in all circumstances, with gladness and devotion.
There are fundamentally two ways in which leaders, whether earthly or spiritual, exercise authority: one is through coercive fear, and the other is through inspiring love. Those who follow God out of a genuine, Spirit-birthed love will obey Him wholeheartedly and reverently. This reverential fear, which is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10), leads believers to uphold God’s commands and His revealed Word in all situations, regardless of the personal challenges, societal pressures, or discomfort they may face.
THE WILL OF THE FATHER: WHAT IS IT?
To truly understand and align with the will of the Father in these last days, it is necessary to comprehend the sequence of events that the Bible outlines will take place before the rapture of the Bride, as detailed, for example, in 1 Thessalonians 4:16:
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.”
These divinely ordained events—the Shout, the Voice, and the Trump—are often misunderstood or misinterpreted. Currently, we are experiencing the spiritual reality of what is known as “the Voice.”
The “Shout” is often connected to the ministry of a messenger like Moses, which represents a divine call to “come out” of spiritual bondage and worldly systems. The “Voice” is seen to relate to the ministry of a leader like Joshua, which is primarily about conquering the enemy and dividing the Promised Land (our spiritual inheritance) for the true children of Israel (the Bride of Christ). This spiritual conquest was never meant to be easy; it has always required divine courage, unwavering faith, and spiritual strength.
Joshua, whose name significantly means “Yahweh is my salvation,” was divinely tasked with leading the Israelites into the physical Promised Land. However, it is crucial to note that not all Israelites who came out of Egypt were spiritual warriors; only a minority had the faith and courage to wield the sword of the Lord and bear the armor of God. God Himself instructed Joshua to be strong and of good courage three times (Joshua 1:6,7,9), powerfully emphasizing the absolute importance of spiritual bravery in fulfilling God’s divine purpose.
LEADERSHIP AND THE CALL TO BATTLE
Today, those who are true leaders in the church, those genuinely called by God for the fivefold ministry in these perilous times, will often, be met with opposition, misunderstanding, and even persecution. If a minister is friends with everyone, if his message never offends the carnal mind or challenges the status quo, then he may not truly be a part of God’s divinely ordained fivefold ministry for this hour. True ministers of God, like faithful leaders of the past who faced many severe challenges because of his unwavering commitment to God’s revealed call and Word, will inevitably face criticism and resistance.
God’s command to ancient Israel was to drive out the squatters (the Canaanite nations) from the Promised Land. Yet, some today, even in positions of spiritual leadership, seem more interested in befriending these spiritual “squatters” (false doctrines, worldly influences, compromising spirits) than in fighting against them. The purpose of God for His end-time Bride is not for us to seek a superficial peace and a false unity with those who oppose His perfect will and His revealed Word, but rather to wage spiritual war against anything and everything that hinders His divine plan. There is a time for everything under heaven (Ecclesiastes 3:1), and during times of spiritual war, carnal peace and unholy unity cannot be our primary pursuit.
Those who truly fight for genuine, God-ordained unity and lasting peace are those who are willing to go through the arduous struggle of driving out the spiritual squatters from our Promised Land—our hearts, our homes, and our churches. Joshua’s mistake in making a treaty with the Gibeonites (Joshua 9), who deceived Israel, serves as a lasting, solemn lesson: compromising with those influences and teachings that do not belong in the Promised Land (the pure Word of God) results in ongoing conflict, spiritual weakness, and a tragic lack of true, God-honoring unity.
THE STRUGGLE AGAINST SPIRITUAL AUTHORITIES
In this present, critical time, God, through His revealed Word and the ministry of His true servants, is exposing the nature of the “squatters” in our spiritual Promised Land. These are not primarily flesh-and-blood enemies, but spiritual authorities, demonic powers, and religious traditions that actively hinder the Bride of Christ from fully claiming her rightful inheritance in the fullness of the Word. These include the pervasive Nicolaitan spirit that seeks to dominate and control the laity within the church, as well as modern-day groups and movements that have sadly deviated from the pure, foundational teachings of the Bible such as the Branhamites, Jacksonites and the Ganites. They are the modern-day Jebusites, Amorites and Amalekites.
These spiritual strongholds, these deeply entrenched religious authorities and their traditions, are the ones preventing the Bride from fully possessing her spiritual Promised Land. It is indeed a stressful battle, for no true war, spiritual or physical, is ever without stress, pressure, and sacrifice. The true leaders, like spiritual Joshuas and Calebs of today, desperately need the prayerful support and faithful encouragement of the believers. Joshua, in his battle against the Amorites, boldly asked God to make the sun stand still so that he could completely conquer the enemy, and God miraculously granted his audacious request (Joshua 10:12-14). In the same way, our God is more than willing to provide whatever is divinely needed for His true servants today to fulfill His perfect plan.
THE NEED FOR COURAGEOUS WARRIORS
The pressing question for this hour is: are there courageous people, men and women of God, willing to be used by Him in this intense spiritual battle today? Are there those who are not afraid to be misunderstood, to be criticized, to be stressed, or to face the spiritual “giants” that seem to occupy our Promised Land? Joshua and Caleb, men of great faith, looked at the literal giants in Canaan and saw them as “bread” for Israel (Numbers 14:9)—nothing to truly fear when God is on your side. The spiritual squatters—false doctrines, compromising spirits, man-made traditions—do not belong in God’s Promised Land, and neither do these false teachings belong in the true Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The fear of man, the desire for acceptance, or the fear of criticism should never override our holy, reverential fear of God. The purveyors of false teachings and the upholders of unscriptural authorities are, in reality, more afraid of those who boldly and lovingly speak the undiluted truth than we should ever be of them. They do everything in their power to suppress, ridicule, and prevent the pure truth from being proclaimed because they know that when the truth is spoken in the power of the Holy Spirit, their illegitimate authority is exposed and undermined. The Truth has the inherent, divine power to break their strongholds.
ENCOURAGEMENT FROM RAHAB
Josh. 2:9-11 “And she said unto the men, I know that the LORD hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you. For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed. And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for the LORD your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath.”
In Joshua 2:9-11, Rahab, a Canaanite woman who had come to fear the God of Israel, actually encouraged the two Israelite spies not to be afraid of the mighty city of Jericho, because the fear of Israel and their God had already fallen upon the inhabitants. In the same way, we should not be afraid of those who oppose the pure truth of God’s Word today. As long as we stand firmly and uncompromisingly on the Truth, we have absolutely nothing to fear.
If you are teaching something that is incorrect or contrary to the revealed Word, then loving, scriptural correction is needed and should be received with humility. Even if the truth hurts our pride or challenges our preconceived notions, it must be spoken in love. The vital question remains: are there spiritual warriors today willing to stand up and speak the unadulterated truth, regardless of the personal consequences or the opposition they may face? The time for ultimate, perfect unity and peace in the Body of Christ will certainly come, in God’s perfect timing. But right now, in this specific season, the divine priority is to fight valiantly against the spiritual squatters that hinder God’s perfect plan for His Bride.
CONCLUSION
In this intense, ongoing spiritual battle, we must be willing to put our reverential fear of God far above any fear of men, systems, or demonic opposition. True, lasting unity and genuine, scriptural peace can only be fully achieved once the spiritual enemies of God are driven out of our hearts, our homes, and His Church—our spiritual Promised Land. The leaders God is using today, His true fivefold ministers, are like modern-day Joshuas and Calebs—bold, courageous, filled with the Spirit, and willing to stand uncompromisingly against anything and everything that opposes God’s perfect will and His revealed Word for this hour.
Are you willing to be used by God in this momentous battle? Are you willing to stand up for the pure, unadulterated Truth, no matter how stressful or challenging it may be? The spiritual authorities of darkness and the purveyors of false teachings are, in reality, terrified of the liberating power of the Truth. Let us, therefore, be bold and courageous, speaking the Truth in love, trusting implicitly that God will provide everything we need to claim our full inheritance in the spiritual Promised Land. Amen.
