Rev 5:5-6 “Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.” (6) Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing in the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.”
In this scene, a great lion stepped forward. No wait, its actually a lamb. No wait, well, it is actually both! Our Lord Jesus in this scene was pictured as both a Lion and a Lamb. As the Lamb of God, He is the sacrifice, bearing away the sins of the world. As the Lion, He is the King, punishing His enemies. At His First Coming, He was the Lamb to be a servant and a sacrifice. At His Second Coming, He will be the Lion – the King of Heaven and Earth. The Lamb had seven horns (omnipotence) and seven eyes (omniscience). His possession of the seven Spirits of God reminds us that the Lord Jesus was endued with the full measure of the Holy Spirit (Joh 3:34b). The seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth suggest omnipresence.”
