Psalm 37:23 “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.”
There is a quiet weight that lives inside of us. You can feel it in the middle of a busy workday, in the silence, or in those late-night hours when the world stops humming. You may have tried to silence it. You may have told that voice that you are too old, too tired, too broken, or too busy. You may have walked a thousand miles in the opposite direction, trying to find satisfaction in paths that were easier to navigate.
But here is the beautiful, relentless truth of the Kingdom: Your calling will keep calling you.
It calls you because it isn’t just a job or a hobby; it is a divine assignment woven into you by the Creator Himself. It is the “ordered step” spoken of in Psalm 37:23. When the Bible says our steps are “ordered,” it doesn’t just mean God gives us a map. It means that even when you stumble, even when you take a detour into a wilderness of your own making, the Architect of your soul is still standing at the end of that path, pointing you back to His purpose for you.
When you finally stop running and begin to lean into the purpose He has for you, He finds delight in watching you take that path. And because He delights in it, He won’t let you forget it.
If the dream is still breathing, it’s because God keeps it alive. If that “tug” is still there after all these years, it’s because the One who called you is “The Alpha and the Omega.” He doesn’t just start things; He finishes them. He is calling you today not to condemn you for the time you’ve lost, but to invite you into the joy you were made for.
You don’t have to figure out the next ten years. You only have to trust the One who orders the very next step. The path may be narrow, and the climb may be steep, but there is a supernatural rhythm waiting for you. So turn around. Listen. That holy restlessness you feel isn’t a burden; it’s a compass.
Your calling is still calling. And it’s now time to answer.
