How to Take Heed the Word

Rev. 22:7 “Behold, I am coming soon! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book.”

How do we keep or heed the words of the prophecy in the book of Revelation? Here is what we should do?

1. Firstly start by reading the book of Revelation, as we have been doing, for there is a specific blessing in reading its words (Rev 1:3)

2. Secondly set your mind on the eternal matters that Revelation deals with. For in doing so you will be fulfilling the command to set your mind on the things above! (Col 3:2)

3. Thirdly live in the light, hope and expectation of Jesus coming and allow that to be a motivation in making the most of the time you have, making choices that live on into eternity.

4. Fourthly, allow the thought of Jesus’ soon return to result in personal purity as John commands in his epistle where he states: 1Jn 3:2-3 “Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him up
