Gen. 41:29-30 “Seven years of great abundance are coming throughout the land of Egypt, but seven years of famine will follow them. Then all the abundance in Egypt will be forgotten, and the famine will ravage the land.”
If there is one thing that you should remember living in this physical world, that is, nothing is constant here. The only thing that is constant here is change. And change often moves in a cycle.
There will be a period of abundance in our life here, followed by a time of trouble. And while tempted to do so, we should not think that either is forever. We should not get too comfortable during the time of ease nor too down in times of trouble. They will change. When we are in difficulty, we are tempted to think this is how it is always going to be. It’s not. When we are at ease, we often get complacent and forget to do the things we did when times were hard. We shouldn’t. What part of the cycle are you currently in? Whether things are moving up or down, don’t lose your focus or your hope in the Lord.
