Php 4:2 “I urge Euodia and I urge Syntyche to live in harmony in the Lord.”
When I first became a believer, I was shocked as there is so much disharmony and disagreements among the believers themselves. Indeed, we can’t see eye to eye with the revelations given to each one of us by our Lord. I myself, I often have disagreements with the doctrines I believe that others can’t accept. But I have learned my lessons. It is God that made us believe (John 6:28-29). So we don’t need to force everyone to believe you, that is the work of God alone.
This applies to all discussions whether it is believers or non-believers. Live in harmony in the Lord. It doesn’t mean that we don’t hold and speak the truth if we choose to live in harmony. We do. But we do it in the right way. As 2 Timothy 2:24-26 told us:
“The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.”
