Job 35:9-10 “Because of the multitude of oppressions they cry out; They cry for help because of the arm of the mighty. But no one says, ‘Where is God my Maker, Who gives songs in the night?”
Often, when we are oppressed by other people. When we are suffering pain. When there are problems left and right, we cry out in pain. We cry out to other people. But we forget to cry out to the Lord. He is our Maker. He is our Father. Yet we forget Him. If there is One Who is more concern to you than your friends, parents, spouse or family, it is to other than the Lord. We need to lay your problems to Him. And He will give you songs in the night.
Remember that there is only one constant in this physical world, and that is change. Everything will change. What uncertainty troubles you otday? How are you currently being tested? You will surely overcome those troubles. The question is: What have you learned during your difficult times that you can now look back and see the hand of God in? Charles Spurgeon once said:
“I have learned to kiss the waves that throw me up against the Rock of Ages.”
Often we don’t see that the waves for that purpose but we need to learn that our Lord is sill the God of Heaven and Earth.
