The Keys of Death and Hell

Rev. 1:18 “I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hell.

Many people think that Satan is the lord of Hell and that he is holding the keys of hell. The verse above tells us that this is wrong. It is the Lord Jesus Who has the keys of hell and death. And being the One having the keys, He is the One Who is in control who dies and who goes to hell. And we can trust that He never lets the devil borrow the keys.

Our Lord is an Eternal God. He died but then He is alive. All other religions follow someone that is dead. Christ is the only One alive. He is the only One Who has all authority and power over the living and the dead. He controls who goes into hell, who doesn’t, and those who will never even see death at His return. May we be those in the third group!
