Rev 3:14 “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation.”
The Laodicean Church is the last Church of the Lord before His return and before the Great Tribulation. This Church started in the early 1900’s. The word “Laodicea” means “people’s right” or “rule of people.” This points to the fact that it was the people that rule this church, not the Lord. What the believers wanted is what mattered most. This is why the Lord is outside this Church being rejected by the people and is knocking at the doors of our hearts (Rev. 3:20).
Sad but this is the condition of the Church today as told by the Bible. Although we are born-again and the Lord is dwelling in us, we don’t allow Him to control us. We don’t let His will be done upon us. We want our own will. We believe that we are good and obedient Christians today because we don’t know that we are actually blind, poor, miserable and naked. The great percentage on the cause of this is because we became materialistic (Rev 3:17). The pull of this material world is where we are leaning than the pull of the spiritual world.
