Rev 5:9-10 “And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation. And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.”
A new song in heaven was sung. One that had never been sung before. For me, this is a perfect song because it tells us about the 7 perfect purpose of redemption done by our Lord Jesus. They are the following:
1. “You were slain” – it honors the price of redemption
2. “You have redeemed us” – it honors the redeemer
3. “Have redeemed us to God” – It honors the destination of redemption
4. “By Your blood” – It honors the payment of redemption
5. “Every tribe and tongue and people and nation” – It honors the scope of redemption
6. “Have made us kings and priests to our God” – It honors the length of redemption
7. “We shall reign on the earth” – It honors the result of redemption
And this is why this is a perfect song.
