Psalm 51:5 “Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.”
The moment that our mother conceived us, that’s the time that we became sinners. Once a sperm cell and an egg cell unite during conception in a mother’s womb, that’s the time that that human being starts to be a sinner. That’s because sin is in our flesh (Rom. 7:18,24, 6:12). And our flesh begins to form during conception. All our sins are because of our flesh. Our spirit cannot sin. It is our contaminated flesh that works against us and makes us sin. It is also the flesh we see in others that annoys us, not their spirit.
The only way for us to win against the flesh is for our spirit to be revived (Eph. 2:1). That’s why we need to be born-again (John 3:7). After we are born-again, we need to walk in the spirit so that we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Gal. 5:16). This is the only way to win over sin.
