John 14:10 “Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself; but the Father that dwelleth in Me, He doeth the works.”
There was never a moment in the life of the Lord Jesus Christ that was without divine significance, because there was never anything He did, never anything He said, never any step He took which did not come from God. The whole activity of the Lord Jesus on earth was God’s activity. The Father dwelt in Him. For the first time in the lineage of Adam, there was a son of Adam Who fulfilled what God had intended Adam to be!
This is the same with us. It is not about what we do or the nature of our works that makes it holy. It is about Who is doing the work. If the One who does it through you is the Lord and not your fleshly nature, then surely that work is holy, because it is done by the One that is Holy. But if the one you are doing has its origin in your fleshly nature, then surely, no matter what you do, even if people will tell you they are good or holy works, they are just filthy rags. Only the works of God is good and Holy. That’s why not all of what we are doing here is Holy. Don’t believe those ministers who tell you everything you do is Holy because God is already dwelling in you. Remember, we still have that sinful nature.
