Freedom from Bondage

Gal. 5:1 “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”

Liberty or freedom is the most expensive thing in this world. In order to have it, someone must pay it with their life. Many have given their lives in order for their country to be free from colonizers. Many have given their lives in order for others to be free from slavery. Liberty is so important to our Lord that He has given His own life in order for us to possess His Spirit and for us to be truly free. He had given His life to give us this very expensive gift because he wanted us to soar high and be free like eagles. He redeemed us in order for us not to be slaves anymore.

With this, one thing is for sure: for us to be free is very important to our Lord. The question is, do we value the liberty that our Lord has given to us? Do we not entangle ourselves again in those things that our Lord had already freed us? Some of us cannot freely grow spiritually because we still submit to our fleshy desires and the cares of this world. Sin still has a grip on us. We cannot soar high because we are still holding to bitterness and unforgiveness. We cannot serve our Lord freely because we still caged ourselves to our pastors, organizations and groups.

Remember this Bride of Christ: if you wanted to truly serve our Lord, YOU NEED TO BE FREE. Freedom is very important. You need to be free from anything that holds you.
