Teamwork is Needed in the Body of Christ

Neh. 4:22 “At that time I also said to the people ‘Let each man with his servant spend the night within Jerusalem so that they may be a guard for us by night and a laborer by day’.”

While we all have an individual walk with our Lord, each of us is still a member of one family of God. It is this family of God that protects each other and stand against the enemy when one member is being attacked. Nehemiah alone could not do it. In order to win the battle in building Jerusalem, it should be a joint effort of all.

Each family member must spend time working and protecting each other. We should be a guard by night and a worker to build by day. The Christian life involves both guarding and building (2 Tim. 3:16-17). We need to guard each other against false teachers and at the same time, we need to build each other with the truth so we will no longer be susceptible to the enemy in the future. Teamwork among each member of the family of God is needed in order to win this battle.
