THE TWO REGATHERINGS OF THE JEWS IN ISRAEL

Is the current regathering of the Jews today in Israel a work of God as predicted in Bible prophecies? Or is it merely a coincidence in history and a work of Satan?

BLIND MINISTERS

Some ministers believe that the regathering (Hebrew: Aliyah) of the Jews in Israel today which started when Israel became a nation on May 14, 1948 is not a work of God but instead a scheme of Satan and a perversion. They are saying that the return of the Jews today in Israel is just a propaganda of Israel’s politics and behind it all is Satan. Because of this, they hate the regathering of the Jews in Israel today. They hate it because there are already about 9 million Jews now who had returned to Israel and for them, these are all works of Satan. For them, this is a perversion of the work of God.

This is also the reason why they hate it when the Jews are winning their wars against the Arab countries who want to annihilate them because this means that Satan is winning and this “perversion” is continuing. For them, since it is Satan who is behind the regathering today, it is also Satan who is protecting the Jews. These ministers have become so blind that Satan now has become the protector of the Jews.

When the land of Israel flourished after the return of the Jews, they did not believe that it is the work of God. They do not believe that it is God Who works in the Land of Israel today, that the former dry, dead and desert places in Israel that received no rain before are now receiving much rain and are producing much fruits. Because for them, God is not working in Israel today. For them, it is Satan who is blessing this “perversion” that is happening in Israel today.

These ministers are even doing all they can just to prevent other ministers and believers from praying for the return of the Jews today in Israel. When you preach and you encourage that Christians should pray for the returning Jews and the Jews living in Israel today, they will also do everything to tell you that what you are doing is wrong and that Christians must not support the Jews in Israel today. They will discourage anyone who prays and support the return of the Jews to Israel. They are actively promoting that Christians must not get involved in Israel today. For them, if you pray for the return of Jews in Israel today, you are doing wrong because it is Satan who is behind the regathering of the Jews.

Our world today is so evil (Eph. 5:16) that it is now wrong to pray for the Jews. And people are even supporting those persecuting them. Ministers are even against those who are praying for peace for the Jewish people now which is a commandment of the Lord (Psa. 122:6).

These ministers have been blinded. So blind that they cannot see the hand of God working among the Jewish people right now.  They do not see that it is God who blessed the land of Israel. They cannot see that it is the Lord God Who is protecting the Jews today from their many enemies. They do not see God’s hand. God is working for the Jews now, yet they do not know that.  Why is this? Because they are short of light. All they can see are politics and Satan working on these all. This is the outcome of not consulting the Bible and are only leaning to man’s understanding.

I hope you are not one of them.

BACK TO THE WORD

The question that we should be asking is: What does the Bible say? This is a very important question that is often neglected by most of the believers today which is the reason why many are deceived. They are only contented to what they hear from the ministers without bringing them back to the Word.

My brethren, don’t be like them. You need to be wise and noble-minded just like the believers in Beria that even if it was already the Apostle Paul who is preaching to them, still, they are checking if what they hear from Apostle Paul is really in the Scriptures (Acts 17:11). If it is not in the Bible or is not aligned in It, no matter how good the presentation is, DO NOT BELIEVE THEM.

THE WORK OF GOD

Contrary to what some ministers today are preaching, the regathering of the Jews in Israel today is the work of God. It is the Lord who gathers the Jews back to their Promised Land and He is the One blessing and protecting them. Why did these ministers believe that this current regathering is a work of Satan? It is because they do not know that there will be two regathering of the Jews in Israel in the last days.

These ministers have concluded that Israel’s becoming a nation today has nothing to do with the fulfillment of Bible prophecies. The present state of the nation Israel right now somehow does not fit their scheme of things, and so for them, the returning of the Jews in Israel now is just merely an accident in history and a work of Satan. Why do they consider this as a work of Satan? It is because of the fact that the Jewish people have returned to Israel still in their unbelief that our Lord Jesus Christ is their Messiah. Certainly, then, today’s state of Israel does not fit with all those Biblical passages telling us that the Jews will return to Israel as believers of our Lord Jesus Christ.

So on these grounds, they dismissed the regathering of the Jews today as a perversion and a work of Satan. However, their problem is their failure to see that the prophets of the Bible spoke of the two regatherings of the Jews in Israel from all over the world. Not just one.

Their mistake is they lump all the Bible prophecies together about the regathering of the Jews and put them into one fulfillment time frame, especially to the state of Israel now. Readers of God’s Word need to be very careful in distinguishing which prophecies are being fulfilled today and which awaits future fulfillment. We need to rightly divide the Word of Truth. In short, there will be two end-time regathering that was prophesied to happen in Israel: FIRST IS BEFORE THE GREAT TRIBULATION AND SECOND IS AFTER THE GREAT TRIBULATION.

Ministers today are only concentrating on the second regathering which only speaks of the already regenerated nation Israel. But once it is recognized that the Bible is speaking of two such regatherings, then it is easy to see where the present Israel fits into these prophecies.

THE TWO GATHERINGS OF THE JEWS IN ISRAEL IN THE LAST DAYS

Isaiah 11:11 “And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.”

Isaiah 11:12 “And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.”

According to Isaiah 11:11-12, it is clear that the Lord will gather the Jews again the second time from their dispersion (Greek: Diaspora) around the world (four corners of the earth). If you will read the whole chapter of Isaiah 11, this second regathering will happen after the Great Tribulation just before the Millennial Reign of our Lord when “the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox” (Isa. 11:7).

This means that before this second regathering will happen, the first regathering of the Jews from around the world has already happened. The question is: when did the first regathering happen?

Ministers today speculated that the first regathering of the Jews in Israel referred to in Isaiah 11:11 was the regathering of the Jews after their Babylonian exile. But let me lay down here the two Biblical reasons why these ministers are wrong in this speculation:

1. This regathering is “from the four corners of the earth” and “from the islands of the sea”.

This “four corners of the Earth” means the whole world. Not just the Babylonian Empire which is mainly the Arab countries. Read Revelation 7:1 and Revelation 20:8. This from around the world regathering of the Jews was even made clearer by the prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 43:5-6:

“Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west; I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth.”

See? That’s why don’t believe those who tell you that this first regathering from around the world is from the Babylonian exile. That is too far from the truth.

2. Babylonian Empire did not conquer the whole world.

See the map below. That is the map of the Babylonian empire. Can you say that it’s the four corners of the Earth? Jews that will be gathered during the second regathering before the Millennial Reign are scattered all around the world. As there are many Jews today in America, South East Asia, Europe and even South Africa. Not only in the Middle East. And the Bible is telling us that the first regathering is the same.

These are the reasons why the regathering of Jews in Israel after their exile from Babylon is NOT the first regathering in Isaiah 11:11.

FIRST WORLDWIDE REGATHERING: THE REGATHERING IN UNBELIEF

We all know that after their return to Israel from Babylonian captivity, the Jews scattered again this time, not only in the Middle East region but in the whole world after General Titus of Rome destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple in 70 A.D. leaving the land of Israel in ruins.

Now we have known in Isaiah 11 that in the second regathering, when our Lord will gather again the Jews, He will gather them in faith (Isa. 11:13) and He will be their King (Isa. 11:1-5) before returning them to their land. But there are also many prophesies which tell us that before this second regathering will happen, the Lord will gather them first in Israel as unbelievers and they will have to go through the Great Tribulation first before they are converted. Here are these prophecies:

1. God will gather them as unbelievers

Eze 36:18 Therefore I poured out My fury on them for the blood they had shed on the land, and for their idols with which they had defiled it.

Eze 36:19 So I scattered them among the nations, and they were dispersed throughout the countries; I judged them according to their ways and their deeds.

Eze 36:20 When they came to the nations, wherever they went, they profaned My holy name–when they said of them, ‘These are the people of the Lord, and yet they have gone out of His land.’

Eze 36:21 But I had concern for My holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations wherever they went.

Eze 36:22 “Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “I do not do this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for My holy name’s sake, which you have profaned among the nations wherever you went.

Eze 36:23 And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord,” says the Lord God, “when I am hallowed in you before their eyes.

Eze 36:24 For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land.

Eze 36:25 Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.

Eze 36:26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

Eze 36:27 I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.

It is clear in those verses that God will gather the Jews not because they have become believers in the Lord Jesus Christ but He will gather them for His name’s sake. So that His name will not be profaned anymore among the nations and It will be sanctified when He gathers them back in Israel (Eze. 36:24-25). This means that those Jews are still unbelievers when He gathers them. After gathering them, we have read that He will then pour out His Spirit upon them and give them new hearts (Eze. 36:25-27). It is only at this time that they will become believers.

2. The Jews are already in Jerusalem when God poured out His Spirit upon them and before they recognized the Lord Jesus.

Zec. 12:9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

Zec. 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

Zec. 12:11 In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.

Zec. 12:12 And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;

Zec. 12:13 The family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart, and their wives apart;

Zec. 12:14 All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives.

These Jews in Jerusalem have only recognized their Messiah after He had destroyed their enemies and after He poured out His Spirit of grace upon them. This means that these Jews were unbelievers (they can’t recognize their Messiah) living in Jerusalem prior to this event. The Lord gathered them first in Jerusalem as unbelievers before He poured out His spirit upon them.

3. They will experience the Great Tribulation because they are unbelievers.

Eze. 22:17 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Eze. 22:18 Son of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross: all they are brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are even the dross of silver.

Eze. 22:19 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye are all become dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.

Eze. 22:20 As they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt it; so will I gather you in mine anger and in my fury, and I will leave you there, and melt you.

Eze. 22:21 Yea, I will gather you, and blow upon you in the fire of my wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst thereof.

Eze. 22:22 As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I the LORD have poured out my fury upon you.

Because they are unbelievers, these Jews living in Israel will experience the Great Tribulation. The Lord will purge them in the fire of the Great Tribulation just like a metallurgist purifying the metal so that they will recognize Him. There is a need for them to experience the Great tribulation first for them to become believers and they are already gathered in Israel.

4. The Gospel will return to Israel to seal the former unbelieving Jews who are already living in Israel.

Rev. 7:2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,

Rev. 7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

Rev. 7:4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

Why do you think the Gospel will return to Israel after the Gentile Age is finished? That’s because the 144,000 Jews who will be sealed by the Spirit of God are already living in Israel during the time of sealing. This means that they are first gathered by God as unbelievers (unsealed) in Israel. They are not yet sealed. You see? This is the reason why the Lord needs to gather them first in Israel for them to be sealed.

5. The Two Witnesses will preach the Gospel in Israel for the unbelieving Jews.

Rev. 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

Rev. 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

The great city which is spiritually called Sodom and Egypt here is the City of Jerusalem. During the ministry of the Two Witnesses, they will preach in the city of Jerusalem and the city is like Sodom and Egypt at that time, full of inequity and sin. If the Jews will return to Israel from around the world as believers already just like some of the ministers are preaching today, why is there a need for the ministry of the Two Witnesses and the sealing of 144,000 Jews? Think about it. God will gather first the unbelieving Jews to Israel before the ministry of the two witnesses will start.

Read also the following verses that also speak of the regathering of Jews in unbelief: Zephaniah 1:14-18, Zephaniah 2:1-2, Ezekiel 20:33–38

WHEN DID THIS FIRST REGATHERING OF THE JEWS IN UNBELIEF STARTED?

This first regathering from worldwide dispersion started when Israel became a nation in 1948 and it is ongoing until now. This will go on until the last Jew that will be saved through the Ministry of the Two Witnesses and through the Great Tribulation has returned to Israel.

Today, there are already about 9.3 Million Jews in Israel. During this Covid 19 pandemic, the average number of Jews returning to Israel every day is almost 1000. Every day, more and more countries around the world are giving up their Jews. Countries like Yemen and Ethiopia are already empty of their Jews as of today.

God is also blessing the land of Israel. Since the Lord restored the land of Israel to the Jews in 1948, He has blessed it so that it became extremely abundant and productive. The Bible says that this is even a clear sign of the end times (Eze. 34:27-31). The land that received no rain before now receives abundant rains. Today, Israel is one of the top exporters of flowers and fruits around the world!

On the spiritual side, there are also about 200,000 Jews who were converted to Christianity in Israel today. And the Lord adds to these numbers every day. It would be foolish of you if you will say that these are all not the workings of God. These are the reasons why those people saying that the regathering of the Jews today in Israel is a work of Satan and not the work of God are blinds and does not know how to rightly divide the Bible prophecies.

WORLDWIDE DISPERSION (DIASPORA) AFTER THE FIRST REGATHERING

According to Revelation 12, after the 144,000 Jews were sealed by the Two Witnesses, the Great Red Dragon who is Satan incarnated in the Antichrist (Rev. 12:3-5), will then seek the Woman (Israel, the Jewish people) to be killed (Rev. 12:13). But then according to Revelation 12:6, the Woman fled to the Wilderness where she was fed for 1260 days or three and a half years. This was even cleared in Revelation 12:14 that says:

And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.”

This only means that after the ministry of the Two Witnesses in Israel, Antichrist will reign in Israel and will seek to kill the Jews (Woman). But then the Woman fled in the Wilderness. So where and what is this Wilderness? We can actually read the answer in Revelation 12:15-16

“And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.”

The Wilderness here is no other than the Earth (the Nations) that will help the Jews (Woman) escape the persecution of the Dragon. This means that the Jewish people will again disperse around the world after the Ministry of the Two Witnesses due to the persecution of the Antichrist (Dragon). The Antichrist will try to “bring flood” to them who are in different nations to try to kill them. But these nations (Earth), will help the Jews and the Dragon cannot kill them.

The ones to feed the Jews in the wilderness for three and a half years is no other than the sealed 144,000 Jews who also are scattered around the world during that time (Rev. 12:6). Because of their preaching (feeding), these Jews will be converted to become believers of the Lord Jesus Christ as their Messiah while scattered around the world.

Since the Dragon cannot kill the Jews who fled from different nations, the Dragon was very wroth and turn to kill the Jews who were the remnants in Israel at that time as we can read in Revelation 12:17:

“And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”

Revelation 12:17 is actually the fulfillment of Ezekiel 22:17-22 and Zechariah 13:8-9 when the Jewish people in Israel will experience the Great Tribulation. According to Zechariah 13:8, only one-third of the Jews will remain alive in the land of Israel at that time. Two-thirds of them will be killed by the Dragon. This one third will be the ones refined in fires of Tribulation (Eze. 22:20). They are also the ones who will “look upon me whom they have pierced” (Zec. 12:10).

SECOND WORLDWIDE REGATHERING: THE REGATHERING IN FAITH

After the worldwide dispersion of the Jews, the Lord Jesus Christ will gather them again the second time in Israel after winning the Battle of Armageddon (Rev. 11:15, Dan. 12:11-12). This event will happen before the Millennial Reign and after the Great Tribulation.

This regathering in faith is the fulfillment of Isaiah 11:11-12.  Because of the preaching of 144,000 sealed Jews, the Jews that scattered around the world during the Great Tribulation are converted as believers of the Lord Jesus Christ their Messiah while they are in different nations. This is the reason why when the Lord gathers them the second time back in Israel, they are already believers! (Read Deut. 4:29-31; 30:1-10; Isa. 27:12-13; 43:5-7; Jer. 16:14-15; 31:7-10; Ezek. 11:14-18; Amos 9:14-15; Zech. 10:8-12; Matt. 24:31).

This is the regathering in Faith. The Lord Jesus Himself will gather them back to Israel (Eze. 34:11-16) and He will be King over them (Eze. 37:24-26). This time also, the Jews will never be uprooted again in Israel. They will never be dispersed again (Amos 19:5, Jer. 31:40, Jer. 24:6).

This second regathering in faith is not fulfilled yet in today’s nation of Israel which is the reason why many are saying that today’s regathering of the Jews is not the work of God. But if we will only rightly divide the Word of God, we can clearly see that this gathering in faith will only happen after the Great Tribulation. And today’s regathering of the Jews is the first regathering.

FIVE PROPHECIES FULFILLING NOW IN ISRAEL

Aside from the regathering of the Jews in Israel today, here are the other five Biblical prophecies that have been fulfilled and are still fulfilling right now in Israel during our days. In fact, many servants of the Lord have told us that if we want to know what time it is on God’s clock, then we need to look at the nation of Israel for she will be our time clock for the fulfillment of Bible prophecies in these last days.

Today, we live in an age when the entire focus of the world is upon the nation Israel. So let’s have a look at what Bible prophecies are being fulfilled upon the nation Israel right now. These are also additional Biblical proofs that it is God Who is working in Israel now.

1. Jews are scattered around the world.

Deu. 28:64 “Then the LORD will scatter you among all nations, from one end of the earth to the other.”

Read also Lev 26:33, Jer 9:16, Ezek 12:15. This was fulfilled in 70 AD when Jerusalem and the Temple were destroyed and the land of Israel is in ruins that the Jews were scattered among the nations.

2. No rest for their souls while they are in other countries.

Deu. 28:65-66 “Among those nations you will find no repose, no resting place for the sole of your foot. There the LORD will give you an anxious mind, eyes weary with longing, and a despairing heart. You will live in constant suspense, filled with dread both night and day, never sure of your life.”

For about 2000 years following their scattering, these “wandering Jews” living without a homeland have been a subject to some strongest racial persecutions and torments not suffered by any other group of people. During Hitler’s regime alone and the rise of the Nazis, about 6 Million Jews were killed in the holocaust.  This prophecy spoken by Moses has sadly been fulfilled.

3. The parable of the Fig Tree fulfilled.

Matt. 24:32-33 “Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.”

Remember that is God that makes the tree buds and puts forth leaves. In Matthew 21:18-22, the Lord Jesus came into Jerusalem and cursed a fig tree because it bears no fruit. This scene is actually highly symbolic. It will not be recorded in the Bible if it has no spiritual significance. Our Lord Jesus here was not just getting annoyed by an unfruitful fig tree. The cursed fig tree here symbolizes the nation Israel.

For hundreds of years, Israel has been dormant, with no land of its own, no government, no temple – no signs of life at all. Just like a cursed Fig Tree. The people have been dispersed around the world. It was then in 1948 that Israel became a nation with its own land, government, currency, people, etc. Though today, the nation has still no fruit for the Lord to eat, but we can say that this Fig Tree is greener now compared before. Its buds and leaves are already appearing. As we can also read in Isaiah 27:6:

“In the days to come, Jacob will take root, Israel will bud and blossom and fill the world with fruit.

While the nation Israel is cursed or hardened (Rom 11:26), the Lord Jesus noted that the day would come when it would begin to bud and bring forth leaves in preparation for bearing fruits. And this has been fulfilled within this last generation as the nation of Israel came into existence once again in 1948.

4. The desolate land of Israel would again be fruitful in the last days.

Zechariah 7:14 ‘I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations, where they were strangers. The land was left so desolate behind them that no one could come or go.’

Ezekiel 36:35 And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited.

History told us that while the Jewish people were exiled amongst many nations, the land of Israel was a barren desert. Read also Lev .26:33, Eze. 15:8, Jer. 9:12-13, 23:10, 44:22, Isa. 32:13. But of how it buds and blossoms today! Not only has God bought the Jewish people back into their land like He said He would in the last days, but He has also blessed the land so that they are now the top exporters of flowers and fruits around the world! Today, Satellite photos show the green pastures of the nation of Israel, in sharp contrast with the surrounding desert lands of the Arab nations. See also Isa. 27:6, Isa. 35:1.

5. God Himself is the protector of Israel.

Isaiah 21:11-12 Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish. Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.

Have we not seen the fulfillment of this several times already in the wars of today’s Israel? The several miraculous wins of Israel against its formidable Arab enemies are just proofs that it is our Lord God protecting them and is working for them. Take a look at these miraculous wins:

1948 – The War of Independence. Days after Israel became a nation again, 7 Arab countries with fully trained and equipped armies attacked Israel. There are only about 18,000 Jewish settlers at that time who just returned to Israel. Israel has still no armies. The Jewish settlers fought without even having a gun and without military training, yet they won against 7 Arab countries. Why do you think they won?

1967 – The Famous Six-day War. Israel versus 12 Arab countries. Facing another Arab attack, Israel launched a pre-emptive strike in what is now the famous 6-day War. This lightning victory left the world gasping and military academies entering new tactics into the warfare journals!

1973 – The Yom Kippur War. On the Holiest of all Jewish days (the Day of Atonement), the United Arab force again attacked Israel thinking that Israel cannot mobilize its army since they are celebrating the Yom Kippur. It took up to 3 days for Israel to fully mobilize its army. Yet, while outnumbered 4 to 1, (300,000 Israelis fought 1,200,000 Arabs) Israel still won and was even on the doorsteps of both Cairo and Damascus when other nations persuaded them to ceasefire.

How did Israel won in the Yom Kippur War? Here is the work of God behind:

Syria attacked over the Golan Heights in the north where there are 1,400 Soviet-supplied tanks that easily overran the 180 Israel tanks in the area. Egypt attacked from the south and met little resistance. Within three days half of Israel’s air force was wiped out and things were looking bad. Things got so grim that Israel’s famous General Moshe Dayan spoke to his Prime Minister Golda Meier, about possible surrender. Meier herself had given her staff pills that would end their lives if it came to that. It was at this time, with the nation facing annihilation, that Golda rang US President Richard Nixon. Now Nixon wasn’t a man of great character and he hates the Jews. But as he took that a 3am phone call from the Israeli Prime Minister asking for help, he would later testify that it was not Golda’s voice that he heard on the line, but the voice of his late mother Hannah who had died 6 years earlier in 1967. Richard Nixon was raised my a Christian mother, and in his youth, Hannah told him that God had shown her that one day he would be in a powerful position. So Hannah made him a promise that on that day, he would use that position to help the Jews. And so when this phone call came, though he personally hates the Jews, he heard his mothers voice and remembered his promise. He sent air planes and supplies which turned the state of the war Israel’s way. Later during an interview, the interviewer told Nixon that he must only be mishearing things during the phone call since it was 3 in the morning. But Nixon said that he was very certain that it was really the voice of his mother Hannah that he heard and that he wasn’t mishearing things.

Now, that is the Lord God rescuing His People Israel from the face of death! Can you still say that God is not working in Israel right now? Can you still say that He is not protecting Israel? If it is Satan who is working here, then Satan is not in his right mind. For it is his demons who are behind the Arab countries that attacked Israel. Is Satan making war against his demons? Think. Also remember, Satan is a destroyer, liar and a murderer from the beginning (John 8:44), not a protector.

These are only some of the prophecies fulfilling right now in Israel and there are actually many of them in the Bible. These are the proofs that God was, is and will still fulfill His promises to Israel.

The fact is, if we can’t trust our Lord God to fulfill what He has promised to the physical Israel, then we can’t trust Him also to fulfill what He has promised to us, the Spiritual Israel. But our Lord is not a man that He changes His mind and doesn’t do what He had promised (Num. 23:19). This Word of the Lord is still true even today:

Genesis 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

This is the Absolute and a sure Word of the Lord. It does not change even today.

CONCLUSION

It is true that the Bible predicts a future time when the Lord will regather the Jews back in Israel in faith and will then enter into the Millennial Kingdom. However, it is also equally true that the same Bible tells us of a time when God will regather first the Jews in unbelief before the Great Tribulation will happen in Israel in order for God to fulfill His plan for the nation Israel.

This first regathering that started when Israel became a nation in 1948 is currently fulfilling even today. The nation Israel today is the result of God’s direct intervention to fulfill the prophecies. I believe that those who speak contrary to what God is doing and those who say that these are works of Satan, will be found to be fighting against God.

Remember: It is never the will of Satan for the Jews to return to Israel. If Satan has a will for them, that is to prevent them from returning to the Promised Land and for them to continue to scatter around the world in order to prevent the fulfillment of God’s plan. We can even read this in the words of Pharaoh in Exodus 5:2 who represent Satan during his discourse with Moses that represents God:

“And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.

That is the will of Satan, not to allow the Jews to go back to their land.

The truth is, as the days go by, the Jewish people will going to suffer more. More and more nations will hate her. Russia will even join this hatred against Israel that will start the prophetic war of Gog and Magog written in Ezekiel 38-39.

But you must not be among these people who hate the Jews. You should not be among those ministers who are only encouraging Christians to hate the Jews and are only igniting the hatred of people today for the Jews. You must not be among them. We should be among those praying for Israel that peace and blessings will be upon them (Psa. 122:6). Indeed, our days are evil (Eph. 5:16).

Even so, come Lord Jesus Christ!
