Do not be Offended by Me

Mat. 11:6 “And blessed is he who is not offended at me.”

During the ministry of the Lord Jesus here on Earth, many were actually offended by Him. It is because of the Truth that He is speaking. And it is natural for Him to speak the Truth all the time because according to Him, He is “the way, the Truth and the Life.” But our Lord also said in the verse above “blessed is he who is not offended at me.”

Blessings can only flow if we learn not to be offended by the Truth. And it can only happen when we are mature enough. And our maturity depends on, guess what, the amount of Truth we have accepted. This is why it is so important that there are people who are willing to suffer to be used by our Lord to preach the Truth to us because the maturity of His Church depends on It. We must remember that the main goal of our Lord Jesus why He gave His Spirit of Truth to us is “to guide us into all truth (John 16:13).” One day we will achieve this all Truth. And blessed are those who are not offended by It.
