Rev. 3:14 “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation.”
In the verse above, it is emphasized that the Lord Jesus is “the ruler of God’s creation.” This is in contrast to the meaning of the word “Laodicea” which means “people’s rights” or people’s rule. This Laodicean Church age is ruled by people. It is the people or the believers that decide, not the Lord.
We should always remember that it is the Lord Jesus Who rules over us. He should rule us… including the Laodiceans themselves! He is the One that not only created all things, but upholds all things in His power! All things were created by Him, and for Him, including the Laodicean Church itself! But they had lost sight of this because they had lost sight of Him. They are entangled by their own ruling. This is a good reminder for all of us. We must remember that we were created by Him and for Him.
