2 Peter 1:9 “But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins.”
Most Christians have bad memory. We have forgotten that we have been cleansed from our sins. We have forgotten the enormous price that our Lord Jesus paid to save us. Don’t ever forget to remember what Jesus did for you! Not only that. The verse above also mentioned that some Christians are nearsighted or blind. What problem does a nearsighted person have? It’s simple, they can see things close-up, but have a big problem with anything in the distance. Taken from spiritual point of view, that means they can see the “here and now”, but they cannot see the things in eternity! They cannot see that the most important things in this life, is that which will last eternally. May we not be nearsighted or blind.
