Neh. 3:8b “Also next to him Hananiah, one of the perfumers, made repairs; and they fortified Jerusalem as far as the broad wall.”
Maybe you are unsure of your spiritual gift and your calling in the Body of Christ. Maybe you don’t think you have anything to offer. If this is you, then remember Hananiah! You see, he was a perfumer by trade and yet, he was still willing to contribute, get his hands dirty and help do his part in repairing the wall of Jerusalem. Now, if a perfumer can help build a wall, then you can also help in someway in the building of the Church!
You don’t need to be a carpenter, engineer or architect in order to build the Spiritual Jerusalem. Everyone has something to offer. You don’t need to be a preacher, teacher, evangelist, prophet, pastor or apostle in building the Church. Your willingness and availability to help is actually enough for the Lord Who is the One Who uses everyone for the edifying of His Body. You have something to offer. Everyone has something to offer. And just like Hananiah, the Lord can use you to fortify Jerusalem as far as the broad wall.
