What wonderful truth is this
What perfect reasonable one
That in His every creation
God has a purpose and a plan
Like an architect for his lines
Drawn a palace as the King’s place
Like a painter for his outlines
Unfold to us his masterpiece
Like a shipbuilder who makes plans
To bring out his colossal ship
Like a great sculptor who first scans
The wood he’ll use before it’s chipped
So is our Lord God have great plans
For every soul He brings on land
Each one of us we’ll have the chance
To see their greatness when He’s done
For every cloud floats in the sky
For every star up way so high
For every blade of grass on land
For every sparkling grain of sand
For every drop of dew in morn
For every beam of light in turn
God has a purpose and a plan
And they are perfect when He’s done
For every tear that falls our eyes
For every pain we feel inside
For every trial on our way
For every blessing that’s delay
For every call, unanswered pray’r
For every sickness that we bear
God has a purpose and a plan
And they are perfect when He’s done
For every loved one who has died
For every dearest, unborn child
For the loneliness that we feel
For the abandonment that we deal
For every failure we go through
For the rejections we all know
God has a purpose and a plan
And they are perfect when He’s done
For every heartbreak that crushed us
For the betrayal of those we trust
For those people who’ve done us wrong
For those injustice that came along
For those secret, unfulfilled dreams
For opportunities that we missed
God has a purpose and a plan
And they are perfect when He’s done
For every guilt we have carried
For every regret that we burried
For every illness we have suffered
For every disease we encountered
For every joy, for every pain
For every sun, for every rain
God has a purpose and a plan
And they are perfect when He’s done
And someday when He’s fin’lly done
You’ll find out they’re loving, perfect one
You’ll thank Him you were rejected
You’ll thank Him you’re not accepted
Those opportunities that you missed
You will find out they were not bliss
Those betrayals that have crushed you
You’ll find they’re needed to build you
You’ll thank Him for unanswered pray’rs
You’ll find out He has something better
You’ll thank Him He did not let you
That in your own way you should go
Someday you’ll see your finish line
You’ll see the view of His great design
You will thank Him for His great plan
And you will see them when He’s done
