Hi Eagle Eye Community,
I have been blessed by the articles in your website. They are enlightening and had helped me a lot. I used them as reference in our bible studies. Question, can I copy these articles to be posted on our church’s website and my website? Am I not committing plagiarism?
I would like to spread these to enlighten many.
Thanks!
Hi,
Praised the Lord that the articles here have been a blessing and are enlightening to you!
Anytime, you can copy and reproduce the articles here. That is actually the main reason why we build this website. We don’t also really care how you are using these studies in terms of whether you are giving credit back to us or not. Nothing to worry about that. We have received them freely from our Lord, we would also like to give them freely to those who wanted them.
In terms of plagiarism, according to Google, “Plagiarism is the act of taking someone else’s work or ideas and passing them off as one’s own.” This is not applicable to the Body of Christ. First, we cannot fabricate revelation. Revelation was given to us individually by our Lord. These articles may be used by our Lord to you to reveal His revelations BUT YOU CANNOT HAVE THOSE REVELATIONS IF HE HIMSELF DID NOT REVEAL THEM TO YOU (John 6:29). These articles therefore will be of no use to you at all without Him. So it should be to our Lord Whom we should recognized and give thanks.
Second, as I said, we are the Body of Christ. We are all connected. If you have read something in here that has spoken to you and you think it will beneficial to your brethren, then please do share to them. It should not only remain to us. What is given to the hand is also given to the entire body. What food/nutrients receive by the mouth, should be distributed to the whole body. The hand and the mouth cannot claim them as their own alone.
Third, the fact is, probably all preachers use illustrations or insights from other preachers that have blessed them. Same of most of the articles here which are influenced from the sermons and preaching of other ministers of the Lord. As what the Lord had told us in Mat. 10:8b:
“Freely you received, freely give.“
That’s it and God bless you and your ministry there!
