I have been reading your article recently. I want to ask a question. I fully believe on eternal security. But I am confused with Revelation 3:5. Is there a blotting out of names in the Book of Life?

Rev. 13:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
The promise: “I will not blot out his name out of the book of life,” does not mean that some do have their names blotted out. It simply means that to those whose names are in the Book of Life, the Lord will never blot out their names. Again, the emphasis is on the sureness of not blotting out our names. Not the opposite.
We also know that the Book of Life is not a literal book. Our Lord also did NOT write our names in the Book of Life when we were born here on Earth or when we experience being born again. The Bible says that God wrote our names on It before the foundation of the world:
Rev 13:8 “All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain.“
Rev 17:8 “The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to come up out of the abyss and go to destruction. And those who dwell on the earth, whose name has not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, will wonder when they see the beast, that he was and is not and will come.”
Our Lord God had already written the names of those who were saved in the Book of Life before the foundation of the world. Not during their birth nor during their born again experience here on Earth nor when they do good here on Earth. He already knows those who are saved for they are His before the foundation of the world.
Our names being written in the Book of Life does not depend on our works. We are written on It before the foundation of the world, even before we did something here on Earth. Therefore, nothing of our works also can make our names be blotted out in the books of Life. Our names can never be blotted out. Our Lord isn’t making daily alterations in the Book based on what we are doing here on Earth. Some think that He is erasing names when we do something wrong and writing them back again when we did good! No, no, no! This is too far from the truth. Our names are written before the foundation of the world and they will never be erased.
