John 18:38 “What is truth? Pilate asked. With this he went out again to the Jews and said, “I find no basis for a charge against him.”
What is truth? Is there such a thing as absolute truth? In this age of relativism, it is a popular view that everyone’s point of view and opinion are equally valid as long as it “works” for the individual. Having thrown out the Bible as God’s absolute truth, it now comes down to each individual’s interpretation and point of view. You will be called a Nicolaitan when you claim to possess the truth because it will hurt others who has opposite opinions and views. In this way of thinking, there is no truth any more. There is no Absolute. Of course, without any absolute, no one can be absolutely sure of anything! No ministers today can claim that what he is preaching is the truth. Look how absurd these ministers have become!
But opposite of these ministers, we have the truth and we know the truth. For it is written: “Sanctify them through thy truth: THY WORD IS TRUTH (John 17:17)”. If you have the Word, you have the truth. Even more than that, truth became a person and was seen by many. He is no other than our Lord Jesus Christ. He was the very embodiment of truth. Jesus said: “I am the way, the TRUTH and the Life (John 14:6).” In everything that He said and did, humanity saw truth in action. And truth stood on trial before Pilate on that fateful day. The aim of Satan today is to tell us that there is no truth. But anyone who experience our Lord Jesus will believe otherwise.
