Confident in Meeting Him

1 John 2:28 And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming.

The time will come when every people will meet our Lord. But not all of us will be confident and unashamed in meeting Him. Many among us cannot look Him in the eyes on that day. Why? Because during their lifetime, they did not continue in Him.

Some were led astray by the lure of money and riches. Some were almost in the finish line, but failed to continue and give up. Some just spend their time here on earth on temporal things. The key is, to “continue in Him” so that when He comes we will be confident and won’t feel any shame. It would be very shameful when you are almost to the finish line but fail to continue. I hope we will not face our Lord with shame and regret.
