The Last Enemy

1 Cor. 15:26 “The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.”

Death is an enemy. It is the last enemy that needs to be destroyed. It is an enemy that has held many people in fear all their lives. But death has also an enemy whom it cannot defeat no matter what it do – it is LIFE. Death cannot hold Life. Because of Lord Jesus’ resurrection, those that are in Him have His life. And because His is everlasting life, this life also in us is everlasting.

Life is the most powerful force both in the physical and in the spiritual realm. The ground cannot stop the life on the seed to spring forth even if you buried it. The grave cannot stop the LIFE of our Lord to come out even if they have sealed it with big and heavy rock. With the resurrection of our Lord, death can no longer holds power or fear over those who believes. And there will even be a coming generation of believers who will not even have to die! All of them shall be changed to be like Lord.
