2 Pet. 3:18 “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.”
Recently I read a quote from A. W. Tozer. Most of his quotes are quite convicting! This is what He said “Contentment with earthly goods is the mark of a saint. Contentment with our spiritual state is a mark of inward blindness. Orthodox Christianity has fallen to its present lower state from lack of spiritual desire. Among the many who profess the Christian faith, scarcely one in a thousand reveal any passionate thirst for God.”
This is very correct. I don’t know about you but we often get things mixed up. We become content with where we are in our relationship with God and not content with earthly goods and worldly things! It is very easy to get the wrong priority. You must not be content with your spiritual state right now. Be hungry for the Lord so that the desire of the flesh will be defeated.
