Psalm 91:11 “For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.”
One angel of our Lord versus thousands of armies will not even be a fair fight. In Isaiah 37, we can read that the Assyrian army came against Judah and King Hezekiah and the Lord sent His angel to take down the entire Assyrian army of 185,000 soldiers. So yes, thousands of armies of men versus one angel is not a fair fight.
If the Lord sends his one angel for you, rest assured you are well protected. We should remember what the Bible says about these angels that they are sent as “ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?” (Heb 1:14). Our young children that are not yet born-again (indwelt by the Spirit of God), they are ministered by angels. And ‘he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.’ (Psalm 91:11)
