Isaiah 45:9 “Woe to the one who quarrels with his Maker– An earthenware vessel among the vessels of earth! Will the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you doing?’ Or the thing you are making say, ‘He has no hands’?”
The difference between a potter dealing with clay and God dealing with us is that the clay doesn’t moan, groan and exert its own will against that of the potter! While us, we do all of those things. We have our own will and we moan, groan and fight back against what God is trying to do.
We must remember that the Potter is in total control with us. If you are born here in this world, then the Potter has plan and the purpose for you. And that plan on what vessel you will become is already finish in His mind. No matter what you do, the plan and purpose of God will also come to pass. So the struggling of the clay against the will of the Potter is actually futile. What the Lord wants from us is to be flexible and moldable. We have to be flexible enough that He can create what He wants to do with us.
