Jud. 14:5-6 “Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion roared against him. And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done.”
Wow! What amazing strength Samson had. Here comes a lion, roaring away and ready for the kill. Yet, it is no match for a Samson supernaturally empowered by the Holy Spirit! He rent that lion as if it was just a kid! A good type for our lives would you not agree? Always, Satan loves to attack those who are of the greatest use to our Lord. The Apostle Peter tells us that Satan goes around like a roaring lion, looking for those whom he could devour. But we too, like Samson, gain victory over the enemy through our faith in the Lord Jesus and His Spirit’s empowering.
