John 4:24 “God is spirit, and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in truth.”

Look at what is happening in most of the churches today. Worshipping is spirit and in truth had been replaced by hype and ‘performances’. Evangelism has come down to using the worlds marketing principles. Preachers has been replaced by motivational speakers. Fame and riches are now the will of God for our lives because “God is rich and that’s why we must also be materially rich!” Worship now is usually of the rock band up the front with female vocalist wearing sando. And for goodness sake, the move of the spirit now starts when the keyboardist played that emotional music when the preacher begins giving the altar call!

Modern worship now has been home for all the filth of the world. Try to put any of these “worship” principles into the context of the early church. Try to imagine if the early Christians where in the churches today, they will be ashamed of us. The truth is, our worship today is too far from what the Bible calls as “worship Him in Spirit and in truth.”
