Jonah 3:5 “So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.”
Today, believers define “revival” as something they can see during camp meetings or joint fellowships were people are rushing to the altar when the pastor starts the “altar call” where people are filled with emotions and are shouting and crying. After that, they just go on with their usual lives again. But this is not what true revival is.
True revival is what happens in Nineveh when the prophet Jonah told them that God will going to judge their city in 40 days and the people repented after hearing it. This is what true revival is. There is no true revival when there is no true repentance and change of ways.
