Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

Contrary to what most think, the color of sins is not black. According to the verse above, it is “red like crimson” or crimson red. Interestingly, this crimson-red color is also the color of human blood! Blood is described as crimson red, which came the term “Crimson Blood”.

Now, the Lord said that though our sins be red like crimson, they will be like white as snow! How will be our Lord Jesus Christ do this? The answer is through His blood! Because sins have a crimson red color, the only way for them to become as white as snow is to filter it also with crimson red color! And that is no other than through the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ! Any crimson red object seen through a crimson red filter will become white. This is why the Lord passed over those houses which were sprinkled with blood on the night of the Passover when He took the lives of the firstborn of Egypt (Exo. 12:13). The people inside those houses sprinkled with blood appeared not guilty in His eyes. They appeared as white as snow!
