Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Sharing the Word of God is sharing the Lord Jesus Christ with others. We became a witness (Greek: “martos” which means “a martyr”) for Him. We became the messengers and the vessels of the Message which is Christ every time we share Him. One reason why we are afraid to share the Word with others is because we are thinking too much of ourselves, about what others would say about us and not about the Message. But the focus should be on the Message, not on us who are the messengers.
So what if others will think this about you? Remember that if you are sharing the Word with others, you are doing our Lord a favor. One day, He will thank you for sharing Him despite being afraid and despite experiencing hardships. If we will realize this, then we will become less conscious of ourselves. We will become less conscious of what others will think about us. We will be more focused on what truly matters, which is the Message, Who is Christ.
