Mat. 17:1-2 “After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light.”

In the verse above, Peter, James and John, got a very special “mountain top experience”. These three disciples got something more than they had bargained for! They saw a preview of the glory our Lord Jesus that was definitely worth seeing!

If you go to the movies, they always have the trailers of coming the movies. It’s a sneak peek used to wet your appetite before they actually come out. Well, this Mount Transfiguration was definitely a sneak peek of the coming Kingdom of the Lord Jesus when He shall reign in glory from Jerusalem. And unlike the trailers of the coming movies, which show you the best bits and then the real thing is actually quite lame, the coming Kingdom on the other hand is going to be even better than just the little glimpse that these three disciples got!
