Rev. 1:9 “I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.”
In the verse above, John was imprisoned in the isle of Patmos because of serving the Lord. But it was on this prison time that God had given him the most incredible prophetic revelation ever given to man! And that’s why we have the book of Revelation today.
Just like John, God used also the prison experience of Joseph to exalt him 2nd in command over the land of Egypt. Not to mention Paul who wrote his epistles while in prison. So never underestimate God’s ability to bring good out of a bad situation! And you too may have a prison time. Ok… hopefully not because of anything you did wrong! Or not a literal prison. But don’t despise your times of difficulty, trial and even times of being set aside. Remember that God uses all things to mold and make you! Sometimes we get so busy “doing things” that God has to give us some downtime, some alone time, so that we can hear from Him again.
