Rev 1:17 “When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last.”
With a fearful John lying prostrate at the Lord Jesus’ feet, the Lord does three things:
1. He immediately reaches out to John
2. He touches John, placing a comforting hand on him
3. He gives John a word of comfort, reassuring him of who He is.
This is what the Lord does when we need it! He reaches out, touches and lifts us up with a timely word. How He does that is His business. He speaks through His word, the Bible. Sometimes He will speak to your heart saying why are you troubled, restoring confidence. Sometimes He will use a Christian brother or sister to help restore your courage and strength and put you back on the right path. This is why we must no be afraid in doing God’s will to our lives for He assures hat he is always with us.
