Psalm 91:3 “Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.”
If you read the story of Balaam in Numbers 22, you will know that Balak, the king of Moab, wanted to harm the Israelites by cursing them. He sought for Balaam, a gentile prophet of God from Pethor and asked him to curse the Israelites. But the Lord God warned His prophet, Balaam, not to go with Balak and not to curse the Israelites because they are blessed people. Still, Balaam chose to disobey God and had chose to go to Balak. This is where God sent His angel to prevent Balaam from going his way and cursed Israel. The Lord even allowed Balaam’s ass to speak just to prevent Him. All of these things happened without the knowledge of the Israelites that someone wanted to harm them.
We don’t know how much the Lord has protected us without even us knowing them. We don’t know how many times the enemy had sought to destroy us. I bet, we would not even last a minute in this world if our Lord is not protecting us. But the Lord is faithful to those whom He had blessed. No one can curse them. And surely, just like what the verse above is saying “he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.”
