
2 Tim. 4:6 “For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure.”
The word “departure” here came from the Greek word “Analusis” which literally means “to unloose”. This word is only used here in this verse. Paul knew he was about to be “unloosened” from this world.
Sometimes, through difficulties and trials, our Lord has to “unloosen” our grip if we are holding on too hard to this world and the things of this life. The coming of the Lord for His bride is close. Do you think He wants to come back for people that are desperately holding on to this world or for those who hold the temporal things lightly and desire Him? How strong is your grip?
