Swimming Against the Current

Eph. 2:1-2 “As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.”

Not because everybody is going by the flow, not because everybody is doing it, also mean that you should do it. As a born-again Christian, we should learn to swim against the current. Any dead fish can float down the stream, only live fish can swim against the current.

And because the current of this world flows against the ways of our Lord, when you stop swimming against the current, you do not actually become stagnant, you go backwards! You may not realize it. But if you stop fellowshipping with the Lord and with His people, the current of this world will drag you to its flow! This is why you must not stop swimming. Pursue the Lord! Swim your way to Him! Go against the current!
