Col. 4:3 “Pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.”
The door of Heaven should not be only knocked by one hand but by many. This is why in the verse above, Paul encourages us to pray for him and for those who proclaim the mystery of Christ. Although the preachers are the ones on the frontline, we have this ministry called the “support ministry” where we should pray for the frontlines. Support ministry is a very important ministry as it is the backbone of those in the front.
As Charles Spurgeon said “Heaven’s gate is not to be stormed by one weapon but by many. Spare no arrows, Christian. Watch and see that none of the arms in thy armory are rusty. Besiege the throne of God with a hundred hands, and look at the promise with a hundred eyes. You have a great work on hand for you have to move the arm that moves the world; watch, then, for every means of moving that arm. See to it that you ply every promise; that you use every argument; that you wrestle with all might.”
