2 Cor. 5:21 “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
If I were to ask you, who would you think are the top three most righteous people in the Old Testament? Let’s throw some few names out there that could make it to the top three. We’ve got, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, Caleb, Elijah, Samuel, Isaiah, Daniel and many more. And that’s just the men… Ruth was amazing and so was Rahab, Hannah and we can’t forget Esther! But just focusing again on the men, who do you think would make it to the top three list? The reason I am asking is because God gives His top three in Ezekiel 14:14. Have a look:
“Even if these three men—Noah, Daniel and Job—were in it, they could save only themselves by their righteousness, declares the Sovereign Lord.”
But all of these righteous men are nothing compared to the least in the Kingdom of Heaven (Mat. 11:11). Because in the Kingdom of heaven, the people’s righteousness is the Lord Jesus Himself Who dwells in them.
