We are a Royal Priesthood

Exo. 25:30 “And thou shalt set upon the table shewbread before me always.”

The shewbread could be eaten by the priests only and were replaced weekly. It is only those that are “priests” today that can feed upon Christ. I am sure that you are aware that that is the privileged position of all true believers in this age.

Speaking to all believers Peter writes “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” (1 Pet 2:9) And just as the Priests of old would continually minister in the tabernacle and feed upon the showbread, so we do the same in this age. But our bread is Christ!
