Why do you seek the living among the dead?

Luke 24:5 “And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?”

It is good to think about this question that the two angels asked the women that came to the tomb of the Lord. This question has also great importance to us today. Why do people seek the living among the dead? Why do people look for life among rituals and dead religion? Why do people substitute the life of the living Lord for works and human effort? You know, one cannot find people who were already made alive in Christ still dwelling on these dead things.

Christianity is not a religion or a set of teachings to follow. It is not man trying to pull themselves up by their good works and “be better”. It is letting Christ dwell and work in us. Don’t look for the living among the dead. Instead, follow the Word of the Lord which is very much alive in your heart.
