The Angels of God

Heb. 1:14 “Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?”

Before a child of God is indwelt by the Spirit of the Lord. Before we are born-again, our Lord gave first His angels to minister to us and to protect us until His plan will be fulfilled in us. This is their specific task for us. This is the reason why we survive and are protected from all harm since we were born in this world even if we have not yet known the Lord.

An example of this is the Archangel Michael. According to Daniel 12:1, Michael was specifically assigned to protect the nation Israel who will one day recognize the Lord Jesus as their Messiah (Zec. 12:10, John 19:37)! This is the reason why in their many wars, Israel has been protected (e.g. The War of Independence, The Six-day War, The Yom Kippur War). But we must remember that although they are sent to minister to us, we must never worship them or worst, pray to them (Rev. 22:8-9, Rom. 1:25, Col. 2:18). All worship and prayers must only be to God alone Who is our Creator.
