Genesis 22:1-2 “Sometime later God tested Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham!” “Here I am,” he replied. Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about.”
I think most of us doesn’t like test (personally this is true to me). I remember when I was in our university during college days, we have this week called “hell week,” it is because it was exam week. I had to do 4 long exams in a row during the first day of the hell week. Then you need to come home to study for the next day exam. It was Nightmare and very exhausting! All to test your knowledge on the subject.
But God’s tests aren’t about knowledge. His tests aren’t memorization. He will not say ‘Bon, your test is about the Book of Revelation and your time starts now… How many Church ages are there mentioned in the book of Revelation? “Argh, five? Ten?” …No I’ll have to stop you there, it’s seven. You have scored zero points.” Thankfully God’s tests are not like this. He tests our faith, not our brains. He tests us about how we apply the revelations we receive from Him.
